<p>Socialbakers, dünyada Facebook kullanımı ve kurumsal performanslara ilişkin son güncel rakamları kurumsal blogunda yayımladı. Kullanıcı sayısına göre yapılan ülke sıralamasında Türkiye 7. sıraya gerilerken Brezilya hızlı bir yükselişle 2. sıraya oturdu.</p>
<p>Brezilya&#8217;da Facebook kullanıcı sayısı son üç ayda 8 milyon 432 bin kişi (yüzde 22) artarak 46 milyonu geçti. Türkiye&#8217;de ise aynı dönemde üye sayısı 496 bin 300 azalarak (yüzde 1.59) 30 milyon 700 bin oldu. Türkiye böylece kullanıcısı 538 bin (yüzde 1.78) artarak 30 milyon 782 bine yükselen Birleşik Krallık&#8217;ın gerisine düştü. <span></span></p>
<p>ABD&#8217;den sonra uzun süre ikinci sırada kalan Hindistan ise kullanıcısı 2 milyon 276 bin artsa da 45 milyon 774 bin kullanıcıyla Brezilya&#8217;nın ardından üçüncülüğe yerleşti. İlk 30 ülkeyi gösteren liste aşağıda.</p>

<p>Türkiye&#8217;de en çok hayranı bulunan Facebook sayfaları sıralaması da güncellendi. Socialbakers ölçümlerine göre Galatasaray en çok 6 milyon 791 hayranla lider konumunu sürdürürken, onu 5 milyon 624 bin ile Fenerbahçe ve 3 milyon 541 bin ile Beşiktaş izliyor. Dördüncü ve beşinci sıralarda 3 milyon 428 bin ile Cem Yılmaz ve 3 milyon 519 bin ile Emre Aydın bulunuyor.</p>
<p>Küresel sıralamadaysa Facebook&#8217;un kendi kurumsal sayfaları 66 milyonar hayranla ilk iki sırayı alıyor. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>3 Steps To Becoming Consistent and Persistent</b> To achieve a level of success in most anything in life requires one to be consistent and persistent, as achievements are not typically accomplished in a single or random number of actions.  First lets understand what we mean by being consistent and persistent.</p>
<p>Being consistent is performing a task on some type of schedule or performing a task in a similar manner.  Taking a walk every morning is an example of a consistent behavior.  Following a select route each day is also a consistent behavior.</p>
<p>Being persistent is refusing to give up or to let go, even in the face of adversity, warnings or setbacks even to the point where one is told they are being obstinate, or there is no reason to continue to go on or to hope for a particular outcome.  Being persistent can be having a belief that something will or will not happen such as someone with a terminal illness will get better and continue to live a normal life.  If our individual in the example above slipped and broke their ankle, they would be persistent if they started each day by taking a walk  even if they were on crutches. </p>
<p>The desire for success and the consistent action to achieve ones goals combines to create persistence.  It is the consistent and persistent attitude and behavior over time that leads individuals to success or failure, to winning or losing.  </p>
<p>Success Tip # 1  Possess determination and refuse to give up, quit, or be defeated.  Individuals with a passion or dream who wish to achieve success will identify their goals and objectives to achieve the success desired.  Armed with their action plan and their internal drive they will continue taking regular steps when most others would quit.  A part of this component of being consistent and persistent is the pride and quiet satisfaction of an accomplishment.  This is not action or thinking related to arrogance or boasting, but the down deep dignity and self-respect an individual possesses who will go to all lengths to complete a task or achieve a goal.</p>
<p>Success Tip # 2  Be willing to demonstrate patience and have the faith of a desired outcome at some point in the future.  Success for many is a journey requiring a period of time  in some cases a long period of time; it is not just an overnight stop between starting something and completing something.  Possessing faith in the outcome and seeing the accomplishment in your mind is actually one of the steps in achieving a goal.</p>
<p>Success Tip # 3  Being open to taking an appropriate risk to achieve the goal is yet another factor in a consistent and persistent individual.  You will notice I said acceptable risk  by only possessing a play-it-safe attitude will result in missed opportunities.  Yet by being open to untried solutions and understanding and assessing the risks involved, one can move closer to desired success.  In other cases it is necessary for an individual to make an attempt and to be okay with failing  as long as there is a lesson to be learned and not repeated in future attempts. </p>
<p>Ill take you back to the Aesops fable of the tortoise and the hare.  The rabbit started fast and disappeared down the path.  To the tortoise it had to look like the race was hopeless as there is no way on this earth he could keep up with the rabbit.  Yet he constantly and persistently put one foot in front of another, and after a while he passed the point where the rabbit had stopped to take a nap.  But the race was not over as the finish line was still far away.  So the determined tortoise continued down the path one step at a time maintaining his actions.  Like many people who work in bursts and then stop for a while, the rabbit woke up and continued speeding towards the finish line.  But like the individual who continued to perform the appropriate actions even when it looked hopeless, the tortoise crossed the finish line just ahead of the hare.  By all rights a hare should always beat a tortoise.  But in life it doesnt always work that way, the fast and the strong do not always win  only because they stop or quit  even if it is for just a period of time.  So for the individual with determination, patience, and the ability to take a risk, and at times fail  the race can be won, the goal accomplished, and success achieved &#8211; with the habits of being consistent and persistent.</p>

To be honest, many of the people who would proclaim themselves &#8220;haters&#8221;, probably have never actually tried properly prepared sushi. There is a misunderstanding that eating sushi means eating chunks of raw fish. That is not necessarily the most accurate definition. Sushi, while is often does contain raw fish, can also use fish that has been cooked or vegetables. The sometimes forgotten, but essential, ingredient that the dish is actually named for is the rice. The basic recipe for sushi uses vinegared rice to be specific, and that is what the translated name is based on.</p>
<p>Now that sushi is becoming more popular among westerners, it is not uncommon to see it show up in places like all you can eat buffets. The quality of such offerings may be less than superior, so basing one&#8217;s like or dislike of the dish on such a dining experience may be premature. The proper making of sushi is not unlike an art form. Anyone who has watched a master of the technique at work can testify that the most beautiful and scrumptious creations are made with the highest levels of skill. The best sushi chefs can spend years perfecting their talents.</p>
<p>Although there are many forms of sushi, the one that is probably most familiar to novices is the sushi roll. If you are looking for this on a menu, it would be the maki-zushi. This is a relatively simple creation in which the nori, or wrapper, is rolled around the rice and whatever other filling is to be included. After the roll is made, it is sliced into smaller individual portions before being served.</p>
<p>As the love of sushi has grown, people have taken to the idea of learning to make their own sushi at home. Homemade sushi can be a wonderful change of pace and an opportunity to explore the foods and traditions of another culture. As one might expect, the marketplace has followed the interests of the people, and now there are sushi making kits available designed to make the preparation of sushi at home as easy and convenient as possible. Most kits will include the basics needed for the process, but of course one would have to buy the fresh ingredients as the need arose.</p>
<p>If you are going to try your hand making sushi at home, do not skimp on the ingredients. Cutting corners and saving a few cents is very rarely worth the trade off in quality when it comes to preparing the best foods. You may also want to get yourself a sushi recipe book or even ask if you can watch the preparation of the sushi if you have a restaurant in your area which specializes in the dish. Finally, always be sure to follow safe handling procedures with the food itself, especially if you are not familiar with it.</p>

<p>Forty-five percent stated they had Websites, a finding that indicates that many SMBs still have some catching up to do in the digital space. Of those that have Websites, 80% of companies use them for &#8220;general information&#8221; about their business, indicating that SMBs are not yet taking full advantage of the full potential of the Web. </p>
<p>Most businesses either plan on spending the same amount or increasing their marketing budgets next year, especially for Websites, email, direct marketing, social media and, somewhat surprisingly, print media. </p>
<p>Only 3% plan to decrease spending on their Websites next year, and the same percentage expected to spend less on email as well.  Although SMBs are still spending on print advertising, that was the area expected to decrease the most next year, with 7% of respondents saying they planned on decreasing their print advertising budgets in 2011. </p>
<p>Not surprisingly, social media is playing an increasingly pivotal role in the marketing efforts of smaller companies, as free or low-cost tools like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn continue to provide significant reach for many of the businesses using them. </p>

<p>An explosion sends crude oil gushing into the sea. Authorities close beaches as frantic cleanup efforts commence, followed by government officials arriving to take stock of the damage and investigate the cause of the spill. Local tourism and fishing industries suffer. Environmentalists cry foul, accusing the government of failing to protect the nation&rsquo;s natural resources in favor of swift profits. Reports surface that journalists are being kept away from the scene as those in power attempt to limit the political and economic fallout.</p>

<p>If this sounds like the BP oil spill, think again. For the last week, this series of events has taken place here in China after a state-owned pipeline belonging to China National Petroleum Corp., Asia&rsquo;s largest oil and gas producer by volume, exploded last Friday off the coast of Dalian, a northern port city famous for its beaches. The blasts sent 1,500 tons of crude oil into the Yellow Sea and sparked 100-foot-high flames that burned for 15 hours. While  media has reported that the leak has been stopped and Dalian&rsquo;s vice mayor  he  the cleanup effort to take only five days, oil has spread over 165 square miles and other government officials have  they think the operation could last weeks, with environmental damage possibly continuing for years.</p>
<p>According to Greenpeace China spokesman Wang Xiaojun, the government has failed to warn tourists of the danger washing ashore at the height of beach season. Despite the spill, Greenpeace staff members have seen kids playing in the contaminated waters off beaches that have not been closed. &ldquo;It&rsquo;s really scary,&rdquo; said Wang.</p>
<p>Also clueless about protecting their skin from the crude oil are local fishermen, who are doing most of the cleanup using their bare hands, without wearing face masks.</p>
<p>Others tasked with removing the crude are just barely  prepared&ldquo;We don&rsquo;t have proper oil cleanup materials, so our workers are wearing rubber gloves and using chopsticks,&rdquo; a local official told the Beijing Youth Daily newspaper. &ldquo;This kind of inefficiency means the oil will keep coming to shore.&rdquo;</p>
<p>Thanks to the inefficiency of BP and American government regulators, China&rsquo;s cleanup efforts trigger a disturbing sense of d&eacute;j&agrave; vu. More than 1,000 workers, from soldiers to local fishermen, have joined in cleaning up the spill, using oil-eating bacteria, solvents, straw mats, and even buckets, along with 800 fishing boats and 40 ships. One soldier drowned on Tuesday when he was swept away by a wave after he and another soldier jumped into the oil slick to fix an underwater pump.</p>
<p>The Chinese media has hailed him as a martyr and splashed dramatic pictures of soldiers rescuing the survivor across official newspapers and websites&mdash;until Thursday afternoon, when the stories about the spill sank from the homepages of China&rsquo;s news websites. The coverage was drowned out by news of major floods elsewhere in the country and ominous headlines about the looming U.S.-South Korean naval exercises in the Yellow Sea, which the Chinese media has been lately flogging as evidence of a Western plot to undermine China&rsquo;s territorial sovereignty.</p>
<p>While the spill in the Gulf of Mexico and scathing criticism of those responsible for its cleanup have dominated Western headlines and editorials for months, China&rsquo;s state-media has avoided assigning blame for the spill or criticizing the government&rsquo;s regulatory shortcomings in risk management and energy policy.</p>
<p>Nobody in China is the least bit surprised by these omissions. Unlike BP, China National Petroleum is a state-owned enterprise with deep connections to the central government. &ldquo;Any criticism launched at the company would be considered an attack on the government, so the media is very quiet,&rdquo;  Liu Junning, an expert on political science at the Institute of Chinese Culture in Beijing. &ldquo;The company&rsquo;s management team consists of high-ranking officials, which makes it nearly impossible to hold them accountable.&rdquo;</p>
<p>	An unidentified man drowned off the shore of Venice late Saturday while on a group fishing excursion.</p>
<p>The middle-aged man entered the water just north of the Venice breakwater at about 11 p.m. and was caught in the current, Los Angeles County Lifeguard Chief Mickey Gallagher said. Witnesses heard him yell for help but could not see him in the dark.</p>
<p>Lifeguard and LAPD search units responded to a witness&#039; 911 call and searched the water until an LAPD helicopter found the man floating face down near the breakwater rocks at about 11:20 p.m., Gallagher said. The man was unconscious and unresponsive when he was found, and was pronounced dead at the Daniel Freeman Marina Hospital shortly before midnight.</p>
<p>The Los Angeles County coroner&#039;s office had not identified the body as of Sunday morning.

Finally, and most interesting, there are actual instanced property spaces in the game that players can actually own and control. After clearing The Maelstrom out of their area, players can go nuts, building whatever they want with any Lego pieces they&#39;ve found or purchased so far. There are some astounding possibilities here &#8212; you can build a full Lego castle piece by piece, or finally complete that pirate ship set you&#39;ve had since you were a kid. Other players can join you in these spaces, and they can interact or experience your creations while you&#39;re putting them together.</p>
<p>There are even various Lego animals and creatures that can be placed in the space, and NetDevil has created a &#8220;behavioral system&#8221; to govern their behavior. By connecting a few different variables and directions, you can tell objects to act a certain way when something happens, or move in a certain pattern. While the UI seems simple enough for children to use, I was impressed by how powerful it was &#8212; just while we were demoing the game, the devs created a small sequence with floating boxes that, when touched by a friend who jumped in the same space, would explode. In other words, they recreated Mario in the Lego Universe in a matter of minutes.</p>
<p>That was pretty amazing, and the mind spins to think what players of all ages will create with their Lego pieces when the game launches. The plan is to offer up access and content for a $9.99 monthly subscription after the initial game purchase. This week at E3, the release date was set for October 26. From the demo that we saw earlier this week, it&#39;ll definitely be something to look forward to.</p>
